RAJOURI: Training program for resource persons under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan was organized today at Boys Higher Secondary School Rajouri here on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma. The initiative aimed to equip stakeholders with effective strategies to combat drug abuse and create awareness in society.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Khajuria, emphasized the importance of quality training and urged resource persons to play an active role in the campaign. He also interacted with the participants, addressing their concerns and providing insights into the program’s objectives. A question-answer session was also held, allowing trainees to clarify their doubts and enhance their understanding of the subject.
A similar program was conducted at Thanamandi, where employees from all government departments actively participated. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Abid Hussain Shah was also present on the occasion. Key speakers at the Thanamandi training session included Qadeer Charak, Block Development Officer (BDO) and Dr. Parvez, Head of the Department of Psychiatry. They highlighted the psychological and social impact of drug abuse and discussed preventive measures to curb the menace effectively.
The training programs reinforced the administration’s commitment to making Rajouri a drug-free district and ensuring a coordinated approach among various departments in tackling substance abuse.
