JAMMU: As part of ongoing National Road Safety Month from 01 January 2025 to 31.01.2025, Regional Office, NHAI, Jammu & Kashmir organised a workshop on Road Safety on 25.01.2025 at “Four A Resort” Jammu. In the said program, Dr. Ankit Kathuria, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu gave presentation on key issues related to Road Safety, importance of Road Safety Audit and important technical remedial measures to improve the overall safety scenario. In the said workshop, Dr Ankit Kathuria, Associate Professor, IIT, Jammu and his team and Shri R S Yadav, Regional Officer, IIT, Jammu & Kashmir and Shri Rajiv Kumar, Project Director, Jammu, Shri Anuj Singh, Project Director, Udhampur, Shri Purushottam Kumar, Project Director, Ramban and Shri Amrish Mankar, Project Director, Srinagar, and the Engineers of the Contractor and Consultant working on National Highway & Expressway projects in UT of J&K expressed their views on road safety and reducing accidents. The corrective and technical measures regarding road safety were taken into consideration by the Engineers of the Contractor and Consultant for ensuring implementation on the projects .
