BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla, under the Civic Action Program, inaugurated the District Police Football Tournament at Khawajabagh, Baramulla. The initiative aims to promote sportsmanship and engage local youth in constructive and positive activities. The tournament features sixteen teams, competing in 15 matches, with the opening ceremony attended by SP Ops Baramulla Feroz Yahya-JKPS, SHO Police Station Baramulla Rishabh Shukla-IPS, and DySP PC Baramulla Rupali Singh-JKPS. The event is being coordinated by DySP Hqrs Baramulla shri Altaf Ahmad Khan-JKPS.
In addition to the football tournament, District Police Baramulla is set to organize a cricket tournament in Tangmarg and a volleyball tournament in Pattan as part of its continued efforts to encourage youth participation in sports and strengthen community bonds.
