KATRA: School of Physics, SMVD University today organized an experttalk in hybrid mode by Prof. Zoltán-Imre Dudás, a senior researcher and the Head of the Department at Budapest Neutron Center (BNC), HUN-REN Centre for EnergyResearch, Hungary. The title of his talk was “Research at the Budapest NeutronCenter: Utility of Neutrons in Material Science”. Dr. Kamni Pathania, Head,School of Physics, SMVDU and coordinator of the event, welcomed Prof. Dudás andintroduced him to the faculty members, and students of M.Sc. Physics,Integrated B.Sc. (Physics) – M.Sc. Physics and research scholars.
Then Prof.Dudás presented the brief overview of the Neutron Spectroscopy Laboratory at BNCand practical applications of neutron spectroscopy and diffraction instruments. Herevealed the specialized investigations of his research group using this technique atBNC. The talk was well applauded by all the participants. He also provided theguidelines on how to prepare and submit a successful research proposal to theircentre.
