SHOPIAN: Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Shopian, in collaboration with the Department of Health, organized an awareness programme regarding Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act (PC&PNDT) under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative at SBGM college Arhama, Shopian. The programme aimed to educate participants on the PC&PNDT Act, which plays a crucial role in preventing gender-biased sex selection and ensuring the protection of the girl child.
Dr. Abiroo, guest speaker from the Department of Health, addressed the gathering and provided valuable insights into the PCPNDT Act, stressing the need for strict enforcement to combat female foeticide and promote gender balance.
