Youth Talent Search celebrates Women's Day with enthusiasm and grace

JAMMU: Youth Talent Search, a forum of prestigious schools of Jammu, celebrated Women's Day and its Annual Award Ceremony with great pomp and show at Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk, here today. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.

Ms. Prabha Jain, Chairperson of New Era Environment High School, extended a warm welcome to all the esteemed guests in her welcome address. The occasion was graced by Ms. Indu Kanwal Chib, Chairperson, JKSSB, as the Chief Guest. The distinguished guests were welcomed with floral bouquets by Mrs. Vasudha (MD, Elite Public High School), Mrs. Mala Sharma (Chairperson, Elite Public High School), Mrs. Anku Charak (Vice Principal, Humanity Public School), Mrs. Anita Ambardar (Principal, Playway House School), and Mrs. Usha Jamwal (Principal, BHMP).

The event was further honoured by the presence of Ms. Shagun Manchanda, District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti Social Welfare Department, as the Guest of Honour.

Principals, teachers, and students from reputed schools including JK Montessorie School, New Era Environmental High School, Alexander Memorial School, Bikram Memorial School, S.D. Tarapuri School, Elite Public High School, Humanity Public School, Playway House School, BHMP School, and Lawrence Public School participated in the function.

Teachers from various schools showcased their talent through scintillating dance performances, folk songs, and skits. The audience was spellbound by the mesmerizing performances of the multitalented teachers. The Annual Report of YTS was read out by Mrs. Esther William, Principal of Alexander Memorial School.

The Chief Guest, Mrs. Indu Kanwal Chib, appreciated YTS for providing a platform to budding young minds to display their hidden talents. She expressed her satisfaction with the dedication of skilled teachers in guiding young children and preparing them to face life's challenges. She praised the commendable work of YTS and suggested that such initiatives should be highlighted at the national level.

A rolling trophy in the memory of Late Mrs. Geeta Dixit was presented by Mr. Ashok Dixit to Mrs. Anku Charak, Vice Principal, Humanity Public School. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mrs. Rajni Gupta (Director, JKMS), Ms. Neeru Puri (Principal, S.D. Tarapuri School), Mrs. Usha Jamwal (Principal, BHMP), and Mrs. Shivani Joshi (Principal, Lawrence School, Sidhra) for their outstanding contributions to the field of education.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Rajni Gupta, Coordinator of Youth Talent Search and Director of JK Montessorie School, Talab Tillo. The function culminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
