AWANTIPORA: The Department of Physics, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized a students’ industrial visit to SIDCO Pulwama under University Industry Connect Initiative. The visit, aimed at linking theoretical knowledge to real-world industry applications, offered students insights into material science, thermodynamics, and mechanics.

The students toured several industries that included Al Alpine Agro Fresh Pvt. Ltd., where they explored Controlled Atmosphere chambers, preserving apples by minimizing ethylene, and learned about unique ID tracking in quality control.

Shabir Agro Industries demonstrated physics principles in producing pencil slats, while Ababeel Industries highlighted the role of corrugated cardboard in balancing strength with lightweight properties, emphasizing sustainability. At Haleeb Dairy, the students saw quality control in dairy storage and hygiene.
