GANDERBAL: In accordance with the plan of action/calendar of activities for the month of March, 2025, issued by J&K Legal Services Authority, Abdul Nasir, Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, visited the Subsidiary Jail, Dignibal, Ganderbal. The visit aimed to inspect the condition of the prison building, cleanliness, and facilities available to inmates. Chairman DLSA Ganderbal, reviewed the condition of barracks, toilets, bathing areas, kitchen and store/godown, as well as the segregation of inmates.
He also assessed the basic facilities available in the prison, including the quality and quantity of food provided, RO plant/filter system for potable drinking water, library and newspaper facilities, phone services, ambulance and medical facilities.
The Chairman's inspection covered various aspects of prison life, including living conditions, quality of food and nutrition, access to Legal Representation, cleanliness and hygiene. Chairman DLSA Ganderbal was accompanied by Sheikh Babar Hussain, Secretary DLSA Ganderbal; Gulzar Ahmad, Additional District Magistrate, Ganderbal; Nazir Ahmad, DySp DAR Ganderbal.
