RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma on Monday chaired a meeting in his office chamber to review the functioning of treasuries in the district. The meeting focused on ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in financial transactions, as well as the quality execution of developmental works. The Deputy Commissioner instructed treasury officers to clear all genuine bills promptly while maintaining financial discipline.
Further, the Deputy Commissioner directed Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Executive Engineers to conduct thorough inspections of developmental works at the ground level and ensure adherence to quality standards. He also stressed the need for strict monitoring of works undertaken under various government schemes.
To enhance oversight, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the District Treasury Officer (DTO) to conduct random inspections of treasuries across the district. He also directed for the installation of CCTV cameras in all treasuries to strengthen transparency and security.
Additionally, the Superintending Engineer (SE) R&B was tasked with ensuring the quality of construction works, while the District Statistical & Evaluation Officer (DSEO) was directed to carry out the physical verification of completed projects. The meeting was attended by SE PWD, Devi Dayal, CPO, Maqsood Ahmed, DTO, Mohammad Bashir, Executive Engineer REW and other treasury officers.
