JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana expressed deep shock over the untimely demise of senior party colleague and MLA, Devinder Singh Rana. “Shocked to hear about the sudden demise of Devinder Rana ji. Deepest condolences to his family and loved ones,” Khatana said, extending his sympathies during a condolence message on his Kashmir visit on the occasion of UT Day.
Describing Rana as a mass leader, the MP noted his open-door approach. “His doors were open for everyone. His untimely death is an irreparable loss to the entire Jammu and Kashmir,” Khatana added. While returning from Kashmir to Jammu via Mughal Road, Khatana also held a meeting at Shopian, where he expressed gratitude to the people for their support in favour of party candidate Javed Qadri in the recently held assembly elections.
The MP further visited the family of Mushtaq Ahmad Shah Bukhari, a senior BJP leader and party candidate from Surankote who passed away on October 2. He also visited the house of MLA Thanamandi, Muzzafar Iqbal Khan to offer condolences over the death of the MLA’s mother. With two senior leaders passing away within a month, the BJP leadership mourns a double loss.
