SRINAGAR: Police in Bandipora have arrested four gamblers in Markundal Sumbal and seized stake money from their possession. Acting on a specific information regarding gambling activities at Gandh Kol Markundal area of Sumbal, a Police party of PS Sumbal raided the spot and arrested four gamblers.
They have been identified as Mohd Abdullah Dar son of Mohd Sadeeq Dar resident of Pushwari Naidkhai Sumbal, Habibullah Malla son of Mohd Malla resident of Markundal, Ab Rasheed Dar son of Mohd Sultan Dar resident of Tengpora Naidkhai Sumbal and Mehraj ud Din Bhat son of Mohd Sultan Bhat resident of Hurpora Naidkhai Sumbal.
Stake money of ₹13,200 and playing cards were recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sumbal and investigation has been initiated.
