JAMMU: In its push for the remaining 2 phases of Assembly elections, the BJP on Tuesday held a ‘Karyakarta Sammelan’ (workers’ meet) at Samba to gear up the party cadre.
While speaking on the occasion, J&K BJP Working President, Sat Sharma, asked the party workers to push full might to ensure victory of BJP candidates so that party forms government on its own in J&K.
He also asked the party workers to reach out to the people and make them aware about the welfare schemes of the BJP government, development works and other achievements.
“PM Modi abrogated Article 370 and gave justice to Valmikis, Gorkhas, Refugees,” Sat Sharma said, adding, “Women were also given justice by the BJP government”.
Prior to abrogation of Article 370, women who married outside J&K were denied all rights including right over the property, he said. The children of Valmikis were also not given jobs other than safai Karamcharis but after abolition of Article 370, they can now get jobs in any field, he said.
Similarly, he said that West Pakistan Refugees were not given voting rights in Assembly elections right since independence, Sat said and added, that PM Modi gave them voting rights.
The OBCs, Paharis, Gujjars, Bakkerwals have also been given justice by PM Modi by giving them reservation. “The NC-Cong want to snatch this reservation,” Sat said and asked the workers to make the people aware about misdeeds and evil designs of NC-Cong. Article 370 is history and will never come back, he said.
