KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the progress under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) in the district.
During the meeting, it was informed that 92 percent ABHA registrations have been completed in the district under ABDM. The initiative aims to facilitate creation and maintenance of a digital repository of patients’ medical records, enabling seamless and accessible healthcare services.
The meeting was also apprised about the ongoing registration of doctors and nurses, besides healthcare professionals and health facilities, followed by pharmacies, under the digital health ecosystem.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to intensify IEC activities to acquaint left-out citizens and all stakeholders, including pharmacy owners, with the benefits of ABDM through public gatherings, awareness programmes and media campaigns.
Reviewing the progress under NTEP, District Tuberculosis Officer Kathua informed that 131 high-risk villages have been identified in the district. TB screening Shivirs are being organised in these villages for early detection and timely treatment of tuberculosis.
The DC called for taking local representatives on board to ensure greater community participation in the screening camps. He directed all ADCs and SDMs to facilitate maximum participation of people in these Shivirs and ensure effective mobilisation at the grassroots level.
