SAMBA: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan chaired a meeting today to review the arrangements for smooth and peaceful celebration of Janmashtami Festival in the district.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed preparations related to security, traffic management, sanitation, drinking water, power supply, health services, fire safety and cleanliness at major religious places and venues.

The concerned departments were directed to ensure adequate arrangements well in advance and maintain close coordination to avoid any inconvenience to devotees. Special emphasis was laid on traffic regulation, crowd management, uninterrupted essential services and cleanliness around temples and celebration venues.

The Deputy Commissioner called for coordinated efforts by all stakeholders to ensure that the festival is celebrated in a safe, peaceful and festive atmosphere. The meeting was attended by senior district officers and representatives of concerned departments, who briefed the DC on the arrangements made for the occasion.
