In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: The Directorate of School Education Jammu extended warm and thoughtful Makar Sankranti greetings to students and teachers - a festival that quietly heralds the northward journey of the sun and the subtle optimism that such celestial transitions inspire.

The Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary conveyed heartfelt wishes to the students of the Jammu Division whose curiosity keeps the academic machinery from rusting; to their parents—whose trust forms the unseen scaffolding of the schooling ecosystem; to the teaching fraternity—whose craft stands at the delicate intersection of discipline and imagination; and to every non-teaching and administrative staff member—whose persistent labour rarely occupies headlines but always shapes outcomes.

“Makar Sankranti is not merely a date on the calendar,” remarked Dr. Chowdhary, “it is a reminder that movement, growth and aspiration are encoded into the rhythms of nature itself. As our students and educators continue their academic journeys, may this occasion infuse them with renewed clarity, purpose and goodwill. I extend my sincere wishes to the entire Department of School Education of Jammu Division and hope the season brings warmth, learning and harmony to every home.”

The Directorate urges the community to embrace the spirit of positivity and social harmony associated with the festival and to carry its ethos into classrooms, homes and neighbourhoods alike.
