JAMMU: The Community Service and Social Justice Club of UTSAAH, University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Jammu, today organized an Interactive Workshop on the Ayushman Digital Health Mission at the University of Jammu.
The program was graced by Dr. Sofia Jaan, District Health Officer (DHO), Jammu, as the Chief Guest, while Shri Alok from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Jammu, served as the Resource Person.
The workshop aimed to sensitize students and participants about the Ayushman Digital Health Mission, its objectives and benefits, besides highlighting the growing importance of digital healthcare services. The session covered various aspects, including ABHA ID, digital health records, online health services, registration procedures, and data privacy and security.
Prof. Meena Sharma, Chairperson, UTSAAH, initiated the conduct of the workshop. Prof. Shashi Prabha, Coordinator, Community Service and Social Justice Club, UTSAAH, highlighted the significance of such awareness programs in promoting health literacy, digital empowerment, and social responsibility among the university community.
Prof. Garima Gupta, Coordinator, Translation Club, UTSAAH, also interacted with the students and shared her views on the theme. The session was highly interactive, with the resource person providing practical information on the digital health services and addressing queries raised by the participants.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students from different departments of the University, research scholars, and staff members.
The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion and a vote of thanks. The program reinforced the commitment of the Community Service and Social Justice Club of the University and the collaborating health authorities towards creating a healthier, digitally empowered, and socially aware society.
