In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: The Primary Wing of Presentation Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, celebrated its Annual Day with splendor and brilliance showcasing the theme ‘Lumiere – A Celebration of Light’. The occasion was made even more special with the presence of the Chief Guest, Col. Akriti Sharma alumnae of the School.  The programme began with a heartfelt introduction to the Annual Day theme and celebrated 250 years of the Congregation of the Presentation Sisters.

A delightful and imaginative addition to the programme was the presence of Nobita and Doraemon, who guided the entire audience through their magical ‘Anywhere Door’, transporting them into the enchanting worlds of the three fairy tales. This creative entry not only captivated the children but also added a vibrant energy and continuity to storytelling.

The cultural performances that followed beautifully brought alive three iconic tales of Cindrella symbolizing kindness, Aladdin depicting courage and Beauty and the Beast portraying love. The entire presentation echoed the School’s core values of kindness, courage, love, caring and sharing.

The guests in their speech shared their deep sense of attachment and gratitude toward their Alma Mater. Their nostalgic reflections and heartfelt words resonated with the audience, strengthening the emotional bond between past and present generations of the Presentation family.

The programme culminated with pride and gratitude, reaffirming the commitment to carry Venerable Nano Nagle’s light forward. The celebration highlighted her enduring vision, inspiring all to keep her luminous legacy alive.
