In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

BHADERWAH: Social Welfare Department organised three special camps for the generation of Digital Life Certificates (DLCs) for pensioners registered under the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) here today. The initiative aimed to ensure timely verification of beneficiaries and uninterrupted disbursement of pensions.

The special camps were held at Chinote Panchayat, Sarnai Panchayat and the office premises of TSWO Bhaderwah. To ensure maximum coverage and inclusion, door-to-door visits were also carried out, particularly for elderly, infirm and bedridden pensioners residing in remote and hard-to-reach areas of the sub-division.

During these camps and outreach activities, a total of 76 Digital Life Certificates were generated in a single day, taking the cumulative number to 470 against the set target of 1,300. The initiative highlights the commitment of the Social Welfare Department towards digital empowerment, transparency and ensuring social security benefits reach every eligible beneficiary.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sunil Bhutyal is personally monitoring the day-to-day progress of the campaign and has directed the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer to ensure timely completion of the DLC generation process.

The administration reaffirmed that such special camps and field visits will continue to guarantee uninterrupted pension disbursement and effective implementation of welfare schemes for the deserving sections of society.
