JAMMU: Department of Paediatrics, Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu in association with Indian Academy of Paediatrics under the aegis of Dr. Ravinder K Gupta, Prof & HOD, Paediatric organized Intracollegiate Round of 37th IAP Quiz today in the College Auditorium on 5th September, 2024 in which the students from the college have participated. Team comprising of Mr. Abid & Mr. Saqib of final year MBBS were emerged as winners and Team comprising of Jyotiraj & Vireshwar from ASCOMS were Runner Up, Rishika & Tamanna got 3rd position, Aradhya & Rakshit and Arslana & Maha got 4th & 5th position respectively.
Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr. Anil K. Gupta, Prof & HOD, Medicine, Dr. K.S. Mehta, Prof & HOD, Surgery, Dr. R.K. Khajuria, Prof & HOD, Community Medicine, Dr. Rabinder Rattanpal, Medical Superintendent. The quiz competition also witnessed large number of gathering.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Pavan Malhotra, the Chief Guest lauded the efforts made by Dr. Ravinder K. Gupta, Prof. & HOD Deptt. of Paediatrics ASCOMS and his team for organizing flawless Quiz Competition. He also praised the efforts of the Management of ASCOMS for holding this academic event for Undergraduates.
Dr. Ravinder K. Gupta, Prof. & Head Paediatrics highlighted the importance of IAP Quiz. He also laid stress on importance of such type of academic activities in UG Curriculum and informed everyone that our Institution has been selected for conduct of Divisional Round to be held in the month of October, 2024 which is a great pride for us. He then described all the rules and regulations of the Quiz to participants. He was assisted by Dr. Manoj Sharma who was a local quiz Coordinator & Quiz Master. Dr. Vivek Pandita, Dr. Suhsil Sharma and Dr. Shaurya Pratap Singh Bilouria were the other quiz masters. Dr. Ravinder K. Gupta felicitated Dr. Pavan Malhotra, the Chief Guest by presenting him a memento and thanked for gracing the occasion. The participants were felicitated by the Chief Guest.
