DODA: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Harvinder Singh today inaugurated a TruNaat Machine at Community Health Centre (CHC) Thathri, marking a significant step forward in strengthening healthcare services in the district. The event witnessed the presence of DDC Councilor Sandeep Kotwal, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Doda Manesh Kumar, Tehsildar Thathri Satish Rana, Dr. Versha Sharma (Block Medical Officer, Thathri), Chander Kant Shan (DM&EO Doda and Nodal Officer, NTEP Doda), and Ashima Kotwal (District Accounts Manager, Doda).
The inauguration of the TruNaat Machine at CHC Thathri is expected to significantly enhance diagnostic capabilities, providing accurate and rapid testing for infectious diseases. As part of the program, the DDC Doda also led a plantation drive within the CHC premises, emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly practices and creating a green and sustainable environment. Several saplings were planted to enhance the hospital's surroundings, symbolizing a commitment to both health and nature conservation.
Later, the DDC conducted a thorough inspection of the hospital infrastructure, including wards, consultation rooms, and other facilities. He interacted with the medical staff, assuring them of the administration's unwavering support and urging them to continue delivering quality healthcare services to the public.
He also inspected a medical shop near the hospital to ensure the availability of essential medicines for the public. He stressed the need for transparency, affordability, and meticulous record-keeping to maximize benefits for patients. In line with the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, Nikshay Poshan Kits were distributed among TB patients.
