SRINAGAR: In a significant move to educate the youth and general public about recently amended criminal laws, Police in Handwara organized an awareness programme at Green Peace Secondary School Bicherwara Kralgund.
The initiative is aimed to familiarize students with new legal provisions enabling them to remain well informed and knowledgeable to deal the situation effectively with evolving legal framework. During the session, police officers highlighted the key aspects of new criminal laws and threw light on its benefits on society by implementing and adhering these legal norms for maintaining law and order.
Students actively participated in the interactive session and had threadbare discussions on new laws. While voicing their queries before the penal of experts, they sought clarifications on various legal provisions and were made satisfied by law knowing experts during the course of discussions.
Police reaffirmed its commitment to acquaint general public about newly introduced laws for safety and community welfare through educational programmes and awareness campaigns aiming to foster a law-abiding society.
