JAMMU: J&K BJP paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), Bali Bhagat, Kuldeep Raj, Ayodhya Gupta, Purnima Sharma, Dr. Tahir Choudhary, Balbir Ram Rattan, Sanjay Kumar Baru, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Adv Rajesh Gupta, Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Vinay Gupta and other senior leaders paid floral tributes to the father of the nation on the occasion.
Naresh Singh Jasrotia, District President conducted the proceedings of the tributes programme. Sat Sharma, while paying floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, said that Gandhi ji united the whole nation in the freedom struggle against British rule. He said that the nation must remember the sacrifices of the heroes of the nation and work together to safeguard the interests of the nation.
Sat Sharma also asked the people to adopt the idea of Swachhta to pay respects to the great soul. He said that the focus on Swachhta by Gandhi ji teaches us to adopt the idea of cleanliness not only in our homes but also in our vicinity leading to the development of a clean and beautiful surroundings.
Ashok Koul, while paying tributes to Gandhi ji, appealed to the fellow citizens to propagate the idea of Swadeshi and adopt the idea of Make in India. He said that today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation has made a mark in the indigenous products and has emerged as the world leader in entrepreneurship, which has resulted into the development of engineering, and medicinal gifts to the world.
