JAMMU: Late Shri Shamsher Singh Manhas, former state President BJP, and former MP (Rajya Sabha), was paid floral tributes in a Shradhanjali Sabha organized by J&K BJP at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Varinderjit Singh, Harinder Gupta, Chander Mohan Sharma, Mohan Lal Bhagat, Bali Bhagat, Sunil Sethi, Arvind Gupta, Purnima Sharma, Kuldeep Raj, Tilak Raj Gupta, Munish Sharma, and Sanjay Baru spoke on the life of Late Sh Shamsher Singh Manhas.
Hundreds of party workers including senior functionaries of the party also paid tributes to the former BJP President. The family members of Shamsher Singh Manhas were also present in the Shradhanjali Sabha.
Sat Sharma, while paying tributes to the former BJP President, said that the contributions of Shamsher Singh Manhas in strengthening the party are unmatched. He said that Manhasâs untimely departure is disheartening and a big loss to the party along with his family. The organizational skills of the former BJP President have contributed to keeping together all the senior and junior party activists even during certain difficult times, he said and added that his legacy will remain alive in the hearts of all the workers of the party. He said that the party stands with the family in this hour of loss.
Ashok Koul recalled the time when they both (Ashok Koul & Shamsher Singh Manhas) initiated their social journey as the Sangh Pracharak in 1985. He remembered the hard times, when they used to traverse long distances on foot in the absence of basic resources to do their allotted tasks. He praised the former BJP President for his firm commitment to organization and the capability to take harsh decisions in favour of organization. He prayed to God Almighty to grant Moksha to the great soul.
Dr. Narinder Singh termed Shamsher Singh Manhas as the clear hearted leader with a clear vision who had the capacity to talk straight forward. Kavinder Gupta termed Manhas ji as a friend in need who had always been present as firm support for the friends and fellow activists.
Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal conducted the proceedings of Shradhanjali Sabha and threw light on the life and history of Shamsher Singh Manhas, terming him as a perfect example of âNation Firstâ Party Second, Self Lastâ principle. On behalf of the family members of Shamsher Sigh Manhas, Harinder Gupta expressed gratitude to all those who paid tributes to the great soul.
