SHOPIAN: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today reviewed the progress of different ongoing and upcoming developmental projects of Municipal Council Shopian in a meeting, here. The DDC took a detailed appraisal of the ongoing projects and strict instructions were given to executing agencies for completion of all projects within the stipulated time frame.
He particularly focused on the uptake of newly approved projects including ‘Beautification of Sangloo Nallah’ and called for preparing and furnishing the DPRs of the project as early as possible so that execution would be started soon. The DC also reviewed the working of the Cooperative Department, especially the establishment of Jan Ashudhis and CSCs across major health centres of the district.
He asked for improving the work done and time bound outcomes under both the components by leveraging the available resources. Involvement of CSC in provision of different services was also discussed to make all CSCs viable. Poshan Projects, Health and other departments were directed to handhold the Cooperative Department in this cause.
Space for more Jan Ashudhis to be established across Shopian was deliberated in detail. It was mentioned that around 80% discount is offered by these outlets on generic drugs. The Health Department was directed to arrange space in the health institutions having good footfall so that the public gets benefitted. Executive Engineer R&B Div. Shopian, CEO MC, Dy.Registrar, AEE, R&B Sub Division Shopian and other officers attended the meeting.
