JAMMU: In a significant development, Dr. Devraj Thakur and Dr. Jaspal Singh Warwal have been appointed as National Joint Secretaries, and Dr. Darshan Bharti as the National Media Head of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shakshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), a premier teachers' organization in India. The appointments were announced by the National President, Dr. Narayan Lal Gupta, following a two-day National Executive Meeting held in Bhopal, where the new national team for 2024-27 was also announced. Over 250 delegates of all-over the country attended this important event.
Dr. Devraj Thakur, previously the National Internal Auditor and Convenor of the Higher Education Wing of Jammu Kashmir ABRSM, is a seasoned organizer with extensive experience. He also served as the former President of both Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for 3 years and ABRSM Jammu and Kashmir for six years. Under his leadership, ABRSM expanded its presence across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, reaching higher education institutions in the region.
Dr. Thakur’s long-standing association with ABVP, where he worked for 26 years in various capacities, showcases his commitment and organizational acumen. His transition from ABVP to ABRSM in 2016 and subsequent nomination as State President of ABRSM was a testament to his expertise in organizational planning and leadership.
Dr. Jaspal Singh Warwal, currently the Vice President of ABRSM’s Jammu University unit and In-charge of ABRSM Punjab, has been elevated to the role of National Joint Secretary. A dedicated member of the Jammu University unit since 2018, his contributions and organizational skills have earned him a place in the National Working Committee.
Mr. Darshan Bharti, Vice President of ABRSM Jammu Kashmir, has been named National Media Head of the organization. His appointment reflects his ongoing commitment and service to the organization. The ABRSM’s new leadership team is set to lead the organization in its mission to strengthen and represent teachers across the nation in the coming years.
