SRINAGAR: In a major step towards expanding educational opportunities in downtown area of Srinagar district, New Career Convent School (NCCS), Habba Kadal, proudly inaugurated its second branch in the heart of Shahre Khass, area of Fateh Kadal. The opening ceremony witnessed a prestigious gathering of key figures in the education sector and esteemed community leaders.

On this occasion, PSAJK President G.N. Var served as the Chief Guest and officially inaugurated the new school building, marking a significant step in expanding educational opportunities in this historic area of Srinagar. The event was further graced by Chairman of NCCS Rouf Malik, PSAJK Central Kashmir Head Majid Bhat, PSAJK District Srinagar President Bilal Ahmad, Chairman of Kashmir Society Farooq Renzu, Care Foundation President Dr. Mahjabeen Nabi, President of Angeles Cultural Academy Tariq Ahmad Shera, PSAJK Srinagar District Executive Member Mir Parvaiz and President of Masjid Haqani Fateh Kadal Nisar Ahmad, Javeed Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad Members of Masjid Haqani among others.

PSAJK President G.N. Var has said that "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Rouf Malik Sahab and his family for opening the second branch of New Career Convent School in Fateh Kadal. Establishing a school in a densely populated area like Shahre Khass is not an easy task. This area is home to many families who are struggling financially, with many working as labourers, salesmen, and small business. They face immense challenges in providing education to their children.

New Career Convent School's administration has taken bold steps to ensure that these children receive modern, quality education. Schools like these, which have been serving communities since the 1990s, have produced a large number of professionals including doctors, engineers, officers, and Govt.servants.

I urge the government to support these budget schools financially, as they cater to underprivileged families. My appeal to the Jammu and Kashmir government is to exempt these schools from the need for NOCs, similar to how government schools operate, and to reinstate the special grants and assistance that were available to such institutions in the past.

To the school administration, I request you to maintain a high standard of education, despite the financial challenges. And to the community, I ask for your continued support in this endeavor, as these schools not only provide education but also employment opportunities locally."

New Career Convent School Chairman Rouf Malik, while addressing the audience, stated, that"I am deeply grateful to our students, parents, and the teaching and non-teaching staff for their unwavering support, which has made today's inauguration possible. Since the establishment of our school in 1997, our motto has been to provide quality education. We are proud of the brilliant students we have nurtured, many of whom have gone on to succeed in competitive exams like NEET and JEE, and contribute to society in various fields.

I especially thank the residents of Shahre Khass, Habba Kadal and Fateh Kadal for their continued trust and support. My appeal to parents is to ensure that their children attend school regularly for a brighter future."Several prominent voices from the community praised the school’s efforts.

PSAJK Central Kashmir Head, Majid Bhat said that "I congratulate the school administration, especially Rouf Malik Sahab, for taking this bold step of launching another branch in the heart of Srinagar. This is a significant contribution to the educational landscape of the area."

Nisar Ahmad, President of Masjadi Haqani Fateh Kadal: "It is a proud moment for the Fateh Kadal community to witness the inauguration of this new school branch. I wish them success in their educational journey." Farooq Renzu, Chairman of Kashmir Society: "I extend my warmest congratulations to the school administration for their dedication to providing quality education in this historic area of Srinagar."
