POONCH: A team of the Department of Education today conducted an inspection of government schools in Jhulas area to review infrastructure, academic progress and compliance with regulations. The team was led by District Education and Planning Officer (DEPO) Mukhtar Manhas and consisted of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Kanuyian, Anwar Hussain Ch and Zonal Education Coordinator (ZNC) Kanuyian, Ajay Kumar Raina.
During the visit to GHSS Jhullas, the team inspected the newly constructed building and monitored the Mathematics Park established by Harish Sharma, a teacher of the school. The innovative initiative was highly appreciated for its potential to enhance studentsâ mathematical skills through interactive learning. Later, the team visited Government Middle School and inspected classes from Grade 1 to Grade 8 and expressed satisfaction over the studentsâ responses and overall academic progress. They also reviewed the ongoing repair and renovation work of the school building.
At Primary School Behra Jhullas, DEPO Mukhtar Manhas interacted with students from Nursery to Grade 5. The students demonstrated 100% foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) skills, a testament to the dedication of the teaching staff. The efforts of the teachers were highly commended by the inspection team. The visit also included an inspection at Phera Potha, where a private school was found operating illegally. Acting promptly, DEPO Mukhtar Manhas ordered the immediate closure of the school and issued an on-the-spot notice to the concerned individual.
