SRINAGAR: Police have arrested a gambler in Sopore and recovered stake money from his possession. Acting on a specific information regarding gambling activities at Behrampora, a Police team from Police Post Watergam, raided a specific location. Upon noticing the Police, the gamblers fled from the scene, but one gambler identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Khaipora Handwara, was arrested.
Police have seized stake money of ₹8,500 and playing cards from his possession. A case under the relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Dangiwacha and investigation has been initiated. J&K police urged the community to report any criminal activities to local law enforcement for prompt action.
