SRINAGAR: Peer Bilal, Senior DPAP leader criticized the Government decision to decrease the firewood quota for Masjids of the Kashmir. The decision to decrease the allocation of firewood for Masjid Hamams in Kashmir is indeed an unfortunate step, especially considering the harsh winter conditions the region is experiencing this year. "Reducing the quota by 50% will undoubtedly cause significant difficulties for the masjids and the people who rely on them for warmth and hygiene during the cold winter months. It's essential that the government recognizes the importance of this service and takes immediate action to restore the previous allocation of firewood" Peer Bilal Said.
Peer Bilal demanded that,In light of the current harsh winter conditions, it's crucial that the government releases a sufficient quantity of timber to the masjids without any further delay. This will help ensure that the community's needs are met, and the masjids can continue to provide their essential services.
