In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

RAMBAN: The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Ramban, Srinath Suman, chaired a review meeting at the Block Headquarters in Banihal and conducted a series of visits to various Panchayats within the block. The ACD was warmly welcomed by local residents and former Panchayat representatives, highlighting the community's appreciation for the ongoing developmental efforts.

The primary focus of the review meeting was to accelerate the implementation of employment generation schemes under MGNREGA and to ensure the timely completion of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

The ACD conducted a detailed work-wise review of ongoing projects, emphasizing the importance of adhering to stipulated timelines, particularly for MGNREGA works and the PMAY scheme. He also stressed the need to achieve the mandated number of man-days per Panchayat, as per the targets set.

He reiterated that the objective of such block-level reviews is to identify and address issues related to the Rural Development Department (RDD) on the spot, thereby facilitating smooth project execution. Meanwhile, the ACD visited several Panchayats in Block Banihal to inspect ongoing developmental works across various schemes.

The ACD emphasized that the creation of rural infrastructure is essential for improving the living standards of the local population. He assured the community that all efforts are being made to ensure the timely and effective implementation of development projects in the region.
