In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: On April 22, 2025, a tragic terrorist attack shook the tranquil town of Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. In this cowardly act of violence, brave souls stood firm against terror to protect innocent lives. Among them was Lt. Adil Hussain, who made the ultimate sacrifice while saving tourists from the onslaught. His courage and heroism became a symbol of the unbreakable spirit of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. To honour his bravery and support his family in this time of grief, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took a significant step that truly reflects its core philosophy—"Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas."

In a touching gesture of solidarity and support, the younger brother of the martyr, Sh. Nazakat Ali, was handed an official government appointment letter. This was not merely a symbolic act but a sincere demonstration of BJP’s commitment to stand by every Indian, regardless of community or background. The appointment was personally delivered by Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, alongside her team. The solemn event was held in the presence of J&K BJP President Sh. Sat Sharma (CA), General Secretary (Org.) Sh. Ashok Koul, and other senior party leaders.

This act underlines the BJP’s dedication to justice, inclusion, and equal opportunity for all communities. The party’s consistent effort to work across religious and regional lines continues to win trust and confidence throughout the nation. By extending a helping hand to the family of a Muslim martyr who laid down his life protecting fellow citizens, the BJP has yet again reinforced its nationalistic and humanitarian values.

BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, believes in nurturing and recognizing the contributions of all Indians, regardless of their caste, religion, or region.

The gesture also resonates strongly with the people of Jammu & Kashmir, who have suffered the brunt of terrorism for decades. By giving due recognition and support to the martyr’s family, the BJP not only honoured their sacrifice but also sent a powerful message that the sacrifices of every braveheart will be remembered, and their families supported.

BJP’s consistent efforts in Jammu & Kashmir—ranging from development, employment initiatives, to inclusive governance—continue to lay the foundation for long-term peace and prosperity in the region. This appointment is another milestone that reflects the party’s deep-rooted principle of equitable justice and inclusive progress.

In times where divisive narratives often dominate, such actions are a reminder that unity, respect, and gratitude are the pillars on which India stands tall. The BJP’s commitment to these values, as demonstrated through this compassionate gesture, continues to inspire millions across the country.
