BANDIPORA: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman today chaired a meeting at Mini Secretariat, here to address road infrastructure issues and discuss inter-departmental issues related to the execution of various projects and schemes within the district.

The meeting discussed in detail the maintenance of Bandipora-Gurez-Chakwali road and road cut permissions for various JJM schemes. Stressing on all-weather connectivity for Gurez, DDC emphasized proper maintenance of Bandipora-Gurez and Tulail road to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.

The meeting also discussed Road Cut Permissions to facilitate Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) schemes. The DDC enjoined upon officers of JJM, Beacon, and NHAI to take up a coordinated approach to expedite project completions and address bottlenecks promptly.

He also emphasized upon the concerned from Beacon and other departments to prioritise improvement of Gurez -Tulail road and implement a robust monitoring mechanism to track progress and quality of work. The meeting was attended by Officers of BRO and other concerned Departments.  Project Director NHAI, SDM Gurez, AEE Jal Shakti Sumbal, and other concerned officers attended the meeting through virtual mode.
