BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Monday convened a meeting at Mini Secretariat, here to discuss Change of Land Use (CLU) cases. The meeting discussed threadbare all pending CLU applications one by one to identify bottlenecks and expedite the decision-making process.

On the occasion, 08 cases were presented, out of which 07 were approved and 01 was rejected. Stressing on an efficient process for handling CLU cases, the DC emphasized ensuring speedy disposal of applications within PSGA timelines.

He directed SDM Gurez to prioritise construction of eco-friendly structures in Gurez, maintaining environmental and regulatory standards. The DC also emphasised coordination between different departments for improving the overall efficiency of the CLU process.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ACR Shabir Ahmad Wani, Chief Agriculture Officer Javid Ahmad, Chief Horticulture Officer Farooq Ahmad, GM DIC, Officers from Pollution Control Board, Beacon, Representatives from PDD and other concerned Departments. SDM Gurez, Tehsildar Gurez, Ex. Engineer SSD Gurez, and other concerned also attended the meeting virtually.
