BUDGAM: Renowned leader Khwaja Farooq Renzushah was accorded a tumultuous welcome on Saturday as he visited Budgam district. The event, marked by a cricket tournament and cultural festivities, provided a platform for Renzushah to emphasize the region's rich heritage and potential.

Renzushah, along with dignitaries including DDC Chairman Nazir Khan, paid homage to the historical significance of Tosamaidan, a place he envisions as a major cultural and spiritual hub. He expressed concern over the site's neglect and called for immediate restoration efforts.

The day's events included a cricket tournament, where Renzushah and other officials presented awards to the winning teams. Renzushah used the platform to highlight the importance of youth empowerment and sports development.

A central theme of Renzushah's address was the preservation of Kashmir's composite culture, emphasizing the significance of historical sites like Tosamaidan and the shrines of Sheikh ul Alam and Bulbulshah. He called for concerted efforts to restore and protect these places of worship.

Renzushah's visit has reignited discussions about the potential of Tosamaidan, a region rich in history and natural beauty, and has underscored the need for focused development initiatives.
