In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

SRINAGAR: Under the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir organized an awareness programme on drug abuse at Girls High School Zampa Kadal Srinagar in which about 100 students and staff members participated. The aim of programme is to aware students about drug abuse and to save the society from drug menace.

While speaking on the occasion, SSP ANTF J&K Shri Raj Kumar gave an elaborated view about the menace of drugs, its sources, causes, consequences and role of every member of the society for its total eradication. The participating students were briefed to remain away from drugs and perform sports activities as it is one of the preventive measures to save themselves from drug abuse.

Participants were also reiterated to fight against the menace of drugs and were also stressed to share the information related to illicit drug supply in their respective areas, so that appropriate action under law is taken against the drug peddlers/traffickers. Moreover, the students were briefed to share information with their peer groups for more awareness in the society.
