CHANDIGARH: Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, near Chandigarh, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp at its campus, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty and staff members. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, presided over the camp, while Mr. Ajay Jain, Samvedna Trust (R), Civil Hospital, Ludhiana, was also present on the occasion.
Students from Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Healthcare, Physiotherapy, Management, Business Studies, Computer Applications and Education came forward for the noble cause. A total of 88 units of blood were collected during the camp.
A medical team from Guru Nanak Charitable Hospital, Ludhiana, comprising Harish Kumar, Medical Officer; Sandeep Kaur, Staff Nurse; Ritik Sharma, Lab Technician; and Arshdeep Singh, Lab Technician, conducted health screening and eligibility assessments of the prospective donors.
Dr. Anshu Kataria said that blood donation is one of the most meaningful forms of service to humanity and educational institutions have a responsibility to develop socially conscious and compassionate citizens. He said, “A single act of blood donation can bring hope to patients and their families during critical situations. We are proud to see our students and staff voluntarily participating in this humanitarian initiative.”
