NEW DELHI: The Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) has extended the deadline for submitting nominations for the Viksit Bharat Shikshak Awards 2026 to August 23, 2026, providing educators across the country additional time to participate in the national initiative recognising excellence in teaching and nation-building. The awards ceremony will be held in New Delhi on September 3, 2026, on the eve of National Teachers' Day.
Announcing the extension, Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Managing Trustee, Centre for NaMo Studies, said the decision has been taken to enable more deserving educators from across India to participate in the initiative. Entries will undergo technical screening before being evaluated by a national jury comprising eminent academicians and education experts.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad said that the extension of the nomination deadline would allow more educators to participate in the awards and ensure wider representation of teaching and academic excellence from across the country.
The last date for submission of nominations is now August 23, 2026. CNMS has urged eligible educators, academic institutions and organisations to submit nominations within the extended deadline and join the initiative to celebrate excellence in education and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
