JAMMU: BJP Jammu & Kashmir State Secretary Pawan Sharma today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's unmatched popularity among India's youth, particularly Gen Z and Gen Alpha, has become the biggest source of anxiety for the Congress and other opposition parties, as young Indians continue to rally behind a leadership that delivers development, opportunity and national pride.
"The youth of India have decisively rejected the politics of dynasty, appeasement, deception and negativity. They have embraced the politics of performance, innovation, aspiration and nation-building under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Sharma said.
He observed that the new generation is judging governments by their performance rather than empty political rhetoric. According to him, landmark initiatives in digital empowerment, Startup India, Skill India, innovation, infrastructure development, entrepreneurship and transparent governance have transformed India into a land of opportunity for millions of young people.
Highlighting Prime Minister Modi's extraordinary digital connect with the younger generation, Sharma said the phenomenal response to the Prime Minister's recent Instagram Reel has once again demonstrated his unmatched appeal among India's youth. He noted that the Reel created a global record by garnering more than 303 million views within just 24 hours, while the Prime Minister's Instagram account witnessed an unprecedented surge of nearly one million new followers overnight, taking the total follower count beyond 105 million.
"These are not merely social media statistics. They are a powerful reflection of the trust and confidence that India's digital generation has reposed in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. No amount of misinformation or political propaganda can weaken this organic bond between the Prime Minister and the youth of the country," Sharma asserted.
He said that while Prime Minister Modi is relentlessly working towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the opposition remains trapped in outdated politics driven by fear, misinformation, negativity and obstruction. "The Congress has failed to inspire young India because it has neither a credible vision nor a roadmap for the future. Instead of offering constructive alternatives, it continues to oppose every positive initiative and spread pessimism," he remarked.
Sharma said that first-time voters, students, entrepreneurs, professionals and innovators increasingly identify with Prime Minister Modi's leadership because they seek decisive governance, equal opportunities, transparency and a leadership committed to placing national interest above political expediency. "Young India believes in leaders who deliver results, create opportunities and inspire confidence. That is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to enjoy unprecedented acceptance among the country's youth," he said.
Referring to the changing political landscape, Sharma said the opposition's growing discomfort is directly linked to Prime Minister Modi's expanding acceptance among the younger generation.
"Every election, every public interaction and every major digital engagement reinforces one truth: India's youth are placing their faith in decisive leadership, development-oriented governance and the vision of a developed India. The Congress and its allies are disturbed because they are steadily losing the confidence of the country's young voters," Sharma added.
Expressing confidence in India's youth, Pawan Sharma said they would play the defining role in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, strengthening democratic values and taking India to unprecedented heights under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
