In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

BHOPAL: Every beginning creates a possibility, but what follows is where ideas take shape, choices gain meaning and journeys evolve. Exploring this thought, TEDxShahpura Lake 2026 will take place on 12 September 2026 in Bhopal, bringing together leaders, creators, innovators, athletes and changemakers around the theme ‘After the Beginning’.

The event will explore the choices, challenges, pivots and persistence that follow every beginning, creating conversations across leadership, technology, business, creativity, social impact and human potential.

The speaker lineup brings together a diverse mix of thought leaders, industry experts and changemakers from across industry - Dr. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore; Isha Chitnis, Senior Creator Manager, LinkedIn India; Neha Saxena, Vice President & Head of Global Marketing, Affinity Global; Bhawna Jaiswal, Athlete, Poet, Storyteller and Content Creator; Jayant Mundhra, Founder of Bharatnama and Chief Builder at Biz News+; Lakshveer Rao, Hardware and AI Systems Builder; and Anil Gulati, Communication Specialist, UNICEF MPCG.

Each speaker brings a distinct perspective to the central question of what happens after the first step, whether that means building institutions, pursuing innovation, navigating change, telling stories, creating impact or reimagining what is possible.

AISECT India is the Lead Partner for TEDxShahpura Lake 2026, with ScopeGlobal Skills University as University Partner and Rabindranath Tagore University as Academic Partner.

Speaking about the association, Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) and Executive Vice President of AISECT India, said, “Every beginning creates a possibility, but it is what we choose to do next that gives that possibility meaning. ‘After the Beginning’ captures this beautifully. At AISECT India, our journey has always been about taking ideas beyond their starting point and creating pathways for people to learn, build and create impact. TEDxShahpura Lake provides an important platform for these conversations, bringing together voices that can challenge perspectives and inspire action.”

Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi, Pro-Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), Bhopal, and the Director of the AISECT Group of Universities, added, “The most powerful stories are rarely about beginnings alone. They are about what happens after the first step, when vision meets commitment, curiosity drives progress and individuals choose to keep moving forward despite uncertainty. ‘After the Beginning’ is a theme that resonates deeply with the journey of learning, innovation and leadership. Through TEDxShahpura Lake, we hope to create a space where ideas inspire people to think differently, embrace possibilities and shape meaningful change in their own journeys.”

With its focus on ideas that connect disciplines, experiences and generations, TEDxShahpura Lake 2026 aims to create a space for meaningful conversations and perspectives that continue beyond the event.
