• The Robotics Lab Programme run in partnership with Ericsson provides an opportunity for students across India to explore robotics and AI through its digital platform

JAMMU: Vi Foundation, the CSR arm of Vodafone Idea, in partnership with Ericsson, announced Robotsav, The Festival of Technology, an inter-school robotics platform designed to ignite innovation, creativity and a passion for STEM among young students. Conducted as part of the Robotics Lab Programme, the Robotsav website (https://robotsav.org/) is being launched today in collaboration with our knowledge partner Moinee Foundation.

This initiative aims to provide students with hands-on exposure to robotics, 3D printing, programming, Virtual Reality (VR) and Generative AI. Through a blend of online and offline learning experiences, competitions and collaborative activities, Robotsav introduces students to the world of robotics and Artificial Intelligence in an engaging manner.

On the Robotsav website, students from across India can participate in contests like quizzes and essay-writing competitions, explore blogs, curated learning resources to deepen their understanding of robotics, AI and other emerging technologies. Designed as an open digital platform, the website enables students to learn, engage and build their skills at their own pace. Offline competitions under Robotsav will commence in the coming months, providing students with additional opportunities to showcase their skills and collaborate with peers.

Speaking on the initiative, Ambika Khurana, Chief Regulatory & Corporate Affairs Officer, Vodafone Idea and Director of Vi Foundation, said, "The Robotsav is just one among multiple initiatives to contribute to the larger ‘Digital India’ mission by making robotics and AI learning more engaging and accessible for young students. Through the Robotics Lab Programme, we have seen how hands-on exposure to emerging technologies can spark curiosity, creativity and confidence among students. The Robotsav website builds on this effort by providing an easily accessible platform where students from across the country can learn, compete and continue exploring the ever-dynamic world of technology. Our objective is to inspire more and more young minds to innovate and pursue their passion for STEM."

Saharsh Simon David, Head of Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility at Ericsson India said, "Robotsav is an exciting platform that encourages students to explore, innovate and apply technology in creative ways. By introducing young learners to robotics and Artificial Intelligence early on, we hope to nurture curiosity, strengthen problem-solving abilities and inspire the next generation of innovators. Our partnership with Vi Foundation reflects a shared commitment to making technology more meaningful and accessible for students across India."

Through 20 Robotics Labs operational across seven states, the Robotics Lab Programme has positively impacted close to 10,000 students in the country. Through the Robotsav website, Vi Foundation and Ericsson aim to build on this impact as well as nurture the next generation of Indian technology innovators.
