RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today led a plantation programme within the premises of the District Administrative Complex Ramban as part of the ongoing “JK Green Drive” 2025–26.

On the occasion, seedlings of various species were planted by the Deputy Commissioner along with ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo, CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, DFO Anil V. John, Tehsildar Headquarters Reejuta Majahan, officers of the district administration and Forest Division Ramban.

As part of the programme, around 250 saplings were also distributed free of cost among the general public, staff and officials to encourage plantation and promote environmental conservation in the district.

Appreciating the Forest Division Ramban for initiating the plantation drive, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of plantation in maintaining ecological balance and called upon citizens to actively participate in such initiatives to make Ramban greener and environmentally sustainable. He urged everyone to plant and nurture trees to contribute towards a healthy environment for future generations.
