KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan reviewed the arrangements and logistics for the upcoming Mega Health Camp, being organized by Rotary International in the second week of April in district Kishtwar. The camp aims to provide free medical services, including surgeries, to the needy and marginalized sections of society in Doda and Kishtwar.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of early patient identification, awareness campaigns and efficient dissemination of information among residents of far-flung areas. He directed the health authorities to ensure smooth mobilization of patients to District Hospital Kishtwar, Sub-Divisional Hospitals and designated camp locations on the scheduled days.
Key discussions focused on the readiness of operation theatres, hygiene protocols, waiting areas and other logistical arrangements to ensure a well-organized medical camp. Special attention was given to the roles and responsibilities of medical officers, ASHAs and health authorities in ensuring the campâs success.
The Health Department was instructed to provide wide publicity and compile a database of potential beneficiaries. Additionally, local administration officials from remote areas and the medical authorities were directed to work in close coordination for the effective implementation of the camp.
The week-long Mega Health Camp will witness the participation of a team of doctors and specialists, who will offer general and specialized medical care along with surgeries to help alleviate the health concerns of underprivileged communities.
