POONCH: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, today convened a meeting to evaluate the ongoing healthcare projects within the framework of the District and Union Territory Capital Expenditure (Capex) budget for the fiscal year 2024-25.

Key discussions focused on the progress of new hospital buildings, equipment upgrades, and various health initiatives supported by the Capex program. The DDC emphasized the importance of quality in all ongoing projects, instructing concerned officers to ensure standards are met.

In a bid to accelerate progress, the DDC urged all executing agencies to intensify efforts over the next two weeks, enhance workforce deployment, and fulfill pending targets within the specified timeframe. He highlighted that timely completion of these healthcare infrastructure projects is essential for improving healthcare delivery in the district, as well as the prudent utilization of allocated funds.

The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the CPO Poonch, CMO, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Poonch, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Poonch/Surankote/Mendhar and Block Medical Officers.
