DODA: The Health Department organised two blood donation camps at Associated Hospital (AH) Government Medical College Doda and Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah. The camps were a joint effort by the NCC Wings of Government Degree Colleges (GDC) Doda and Bhaderwah and the Health Department.
A total of 12 units of blood were donated during the camps, including 7 units collected at AH GMC Doda and 5 units at SDH Bhaderwah. The initiative, aimed to serve humanity by bolstering the local blood bank reserves, witnessed enthusiasm and dedication of the donors.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the selfless contribution of donors and emphasized the importance of blood donation. âEvery individual, especially the youth, should actively participate in such initiatives to ensure a robust blood supply for those in need,â he said.
Dr. Kumar also extended his gratitude to GDC Doda, GDC Bhaderwah, and GMC authorities, including the Medical Superintendent of AH GMC Doda, the Head of the Department of Blood Bank, and the staff of GMC Doda and SDH Bhaderwah, for their vital support and coordination in making the camps a success.
