UDHAMPUR: The Cultural Unit of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu on Saturday organized a symposium at DAV High School on the theme "Swachhta Dwara Bimarion se Bachav" (Prevention of Diseases Through Cleanliness).
A total of 12 students drawn from different classes participated in the competition, expressing their views in Hindi, English, and Dogri. They shared valuable information on the topic and presented poems, songs, and other creative expressions to highlight the significance of cleanliness.
First position was bagged by Shivani Sharma, second position by Shivangi Yadav and Third Position was bagged by Nitika, while consolation prizes were awarded to Ananya Sharma and Suresh. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of cleanliness in preventing diseases.
The participants were judged on several criteria, including pronunciation, modulation of voice, factual representation, and confidence. The esteemed panel of judges consisted of Nishu Gupta, Sonika Sharma, and Rupali Gupta. Neha Sharma coordinated the event, ensuring its smooth conduct.
The Principal of the school D.N. Ranyal, addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness in daily life. He expressed his appreciation for the Department of Information and Public Relations for organizing such a meaningful event at the school.
Among the attendees were the Vice Principal Renu Gupta, Manoj Nishchit, Uttam Albela, staff members, and a large number of students. The event was conducted under the direction of Joint Director Information, Atul Gupta and supervised by Cultural Officer Mr. Mukesh Kumar Sharma.
