POONCH: In a significant move to enhance compliance to Drug regulations, the District Administration of Poonch, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, has initiated a drive aimed at enforcing the mandatory computerized billing by chemists across the sub-divisions of Mandi, Mendhar, Surankote, and Haveli.
This initiative is being carried out in close coordination with the concerned tehsildars and the Assistant Controller Drug Rajouri/Poonch Archana Mujoo. The primary objective of this drive is to improve transparency and accountability in the licensing process and ensure proper record keeping by the medical shops.
As part of the enforcement, 15 licenses have been suspended in the areas of Surankote, Mandi and Haveli for failing to comply with the computerized billing requirements. In the last two days, concerned Tehsildars sealed 22 shops after their licenses were suspended, reflecting the proactive stance of the Poonch administration in upholding the standards of drug sale regulation.
