BARAMULLA: In a continued effort to uplift local youth through sustainable employment, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today handed over keys of 26 commercial vehicles to beneficiaries under the Mumkin Scheme. This initiative facilitated by the Employment Department Baramulla is part of the governmentâs commitment to enabling unemployed youth to establish a steady livelihood and contribute to the local economy.
Todayâs distribution brings the total number of vehicles provided this financial year to 46. Since the schemeâs inception, 231 vehicles have been allocated to youth in the district, demonstrating the governmentâs dedication to promoting self-employment and financial security for Baramullaâs young population.
During the handover ceremony, the DC congratulated the beneficiaries and highlighted the positive impact of the Mumkin scheme. âThese 26 vehicles handed over today represent more than just support; they are an opportunity for financial independence, allowing our youth to secure dignified livelihoods. The success of this scheme reflects our governmentâs focus on sustainable economic empowerment,â he remarked.
The recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the government and the involved departments for providing this valuable opportunity. âThis vehicle means a stable income source for me and my family.
