UDHAMPUR: Voting through postal ballot for eligible voters engaged in essential services and those assigned election duty began today across all four assembly constituencies of Udhampur district.
To facilitate this process, the District Administration has established Postal Voting Centers (PVCs) for absentee voters in essential services and Voter Facilitation Centers (VFCs) for voters on election duty. These centers have been strategically set up in all four assembly constituencies of Udhampur district.
To ensure the smooth conduct of postal voting, the Udhampur district administration has implemented stringent measures to guarantee transparency and efficiency at every stage. The proceedings are being overseen by the District Election Officer Udhampur, along with the respective Returning Officers, ensuring meticulous supervision at the ground level.
The commencement of postal voting was met with tremendous enthusiasm, as employees from essential services and those on election duty actively participated, flocking to the PVCs and VFCs to cast their votes.
Voters expressed their gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging the convenience provided by the postal ballot system. The District Election Officer of Udhampur expressed satisfaction with the turnout, emphasising that seamless arrangements have been made to empower every eligible voter to exercise their right to vote.
