JAMMU: On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the BJP Mahila Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir, led by Pradesh President Advocate Neha Mahajan, celebrated the festival with the brave personnel of 44 Battalion BSF at BOP Beliazmat, Kanachak Border.
The programme was organised to honour and express gratitude to the brave BSF personnel guarding the nation’s borders. Pradesh Mahila Morcha office bearers, along with members of Jammu North District Mahila Morcha, visited the border post and tied Rakhis to the BSF Jawans as a symbol of respect, affection and gratitude for their service to the nation.
MLA Surinder Bhagat, Marh Constituency, was also present on the occasion and joined the Raksha Bandhan celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Neha Mahajan said that Raksha Bandhan symbolises the sacred bond of love, protection and trust. She said that the BSF personnel stand firmly at the borders to safeguard the nation, often away from their families, so that people across the country can live and celebrate festivals in peace and security.
“By tying Rakhis to our brave Jawans today, we express our heartfelt gratitude for their courage, dedication and unwavering commitment to the nation. Their sacrifice and service are an inspiration to every citizen,” she said. Advocate Neha Mahajan appreciated the BSF personnel for their exemplary dedication and said that the Mahila Morcha would continue to stand with the nation’s security forces and their families.
The Mahila Morcha members also extended their best wishes to the Jawans and prayed for their safety, good health and long life. The programme was attended by Pradesh Mahila Morcha office bearers, Jammu North District Mahila Morcha members and other BJP workers. The programme concluded with patriotic slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Vande Mataram” and “Jai Hind.”
