KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, today chaired a meeting of the District Level Selection Committee (DLSC)/District Level Task Force (DLTF) to scrutinize online applications and finalize the selection and waiting lists for financial assistance towards NEET coaching under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme for the financial year 2026–27.
During the meeting, the Committee undertook a detailed scrutiny of the online applications received under the scheme to ensure a fair, transparent and merit-based selection process. Following the scrutiny, the selection and waiting lists were finalized in accordance with the prescribed guidelines for extending financial assistance to eligible girl students for NEET coaching.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that welfare schemes aimed at promoting girls’ education must be implemented with complete transparency, accountability and fairness, ensuring that deserving beneficiaries receive timely and effective support.
Th meeting was attended by other committee members including ADC, Vikar Ahmad Giri, DPO, ICDS, Zaheer Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer; Malik Suheel, Chief Education Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Showkat Hussain, District Social Welfare Officer, Rameez Raja (Member Secretary), and a representative of the Red Cross.
